Today’s short is all about getting rid of that dreaded hook with the driver. Our Pro, James Whitaker, talks us through the drill from Reunion Resort in Orlando..

We need to get control of that clubhead. What’s happening with a hook is the golf club is too closed to the path that you are swinging on.

So when you are setting up instead of weakening the grip I want you to strengthen it instead.

Take your left hand more over the top and your right hand more underneath, this will allow you to hold the club off more through impact.

If you are hooking the ball you are swinging in to out and your club face is too closed to the path. So we are really going to try and help you keep that club face more open to the target.
