The Motocaddy S5 Connect is the brand’s first trolley with a built-in GPS function.

NCG got a look at the new kit at a press briefing at the PGA Show in Orlando but we can now disclose all the details and images.

It’s an exciting move from Motocaddy and it’s another example of a brand embracing the technology available through mobile phones.

So how does the Motocaddy S5 Connect work?

Motocaddy S5 connect

Using a free mobile GPS app features 36,000 courses, you connect your phone and the Motocaddy S5 together for detailed course information to be displayed on the trolley’s screen.

You can even download the course information and switch to ‘power save’ mode to preserve battery life and reduce data usage.

This means you can still get all the yardages to the front, back and middle of the green on your trolley but will just lose the fly-over function on your phone screen.

The Motocady S5 Connect screen can also receive notifications alerting the golfer of an incoming call, text, email or range of app alerts including WhatsApp and Facebook.

The trolley itself has similar features to the other S models with nine speed settings, a soft-touch ergonomic handle, streamlined battery tray, the super-fast Quikfold mechanism, low-profile, quick release wheels and compatibility with the Easilock bag-to-trolley connection system.
