After the high wind during Thursday’s round 1 the LPGA got as much golf played as they could for round 2 before play was suspended for the night due to darkness.

The players who came back out to finish their first rounds had a quick turn around to tee it up again for round two.

There was some very consistent play and it’s tight at the top with Suzann Pettersen had taken the overnight lead after her round 2 score of 69.

From the restart Lexi Thompson came out firing and shot a low round matching low score of 67 to take the lead by 1 going into the 3rd round.

After her round Lexi said to the media “It was a little up and down, but I made some good putts when I came back out here this morning and definitely brings me a lot more confidence coming out for the third round,”
