Posture is huge in the swing and a big part of that is where your arms should be at set-up.

It’s quite simple; to find your correct distance from the ball, get in your swing posture and let your arms hang freely. Then bring your hands together.

It doesn’t matter if it’s the driver or the wedge this is where you should grip every club. You want to be looking in at your hands and not down on top of them.

Pamela Prestwell - Far

The biggest fault for club players is standing too far away and reaching for it. The arms get too stiff and tense and the shoulders aren’t relaxed. And this is a big reason why a lot of people slice their drivers as it causes an out-to-in swing.

Pamela Pretswell - Close

Less common is standing too close to the ball. From this position you are hardly in a dynamic starting point to begin your swing. So remember, let your arms hang naturally.
