Top 5: Rio Olympic Games highlights
Golf made a triumphant return to the Olympic Games in 2016 in Rio after last being included in 1904.
60 female golfers got the opportunity to represent their country in this prestigious event. It took a traditional format with four rounds of 18 holes to decide who will take home the gold medal.
Altogether 34 nations were represented which lead to an exciting event. This allowed the best players in the world go all out by producing fantastic golf shots and breaking records.
Here are the moments we think made the Olympics.
5. Record Breaker
Russia’s Maria Verchenova who set a new Olympic record with her 9-under 62 during the final round
4. Missed Putts
We’ve all been there when you got to tap in a short putt. Unfortunately Haru Nomura missed her 2 inch putt at the biggest golf event of the year.

2. Inbee grabs gold
Park’s final round of 66 was enough to secure her the gold medal by an impressive 5 shots.

We couldn’t do Olympic highlights and not include Great Britain’s Justin Rose. He birdied the final hole to beat Henrik Stenson by two shots.
