We caught up with her at the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Woburn for this interview:
What’s the best thing about being on tour?
Getting to see my friends all the time and being able to compete. It feels like a good competition as we’re all friends
Who are your best friends on tour?
Mainly the Thai golfers, like Nontaya Srisawang.
What do you miss most on tour?
My family and Thai food!
Is it hard sometimes because you miss your family?
It is but I’ve got used to it because I’ve been doing this for a while.
I don’t think about it that much on tour because I’m so busy but there are some moments when I miss them. But I know that they are always supporting me and they will always be there for me when I go back and spend time with them.
What do you do with your free time?
If I don’t have any golf I’ll generally go sight seeing where ever I am or watch a movie.
Who inspires your golfing?
My dad first inspired me and got me into golf.
Favourite country you’ve been to?
Every country is different so they are all brilliant. Everywhere has such different cultures and architecture so it’s really cool to see them.
St Andrews old course
How do you cope with jet lag?
I don’t think about what time it is for me at home, I just go with the time of the country we are in and normally I can sleep just fine.
What do you always pack when travelling?
I get cold easily on planes so the most important thing I pack is a sweater. Also pack chargers and plug adaptors for your electronics if you’re changing countries all the time.
How do you pass time on flights?
I like any type of movie but normally when I get on a plane I just go straight to sleep!
