About Sandra Gal:

After playing college golf in Florida from 2005-2007 as an amateur Gal entered LPGA Q-School at the end of 2007 where she qualified for the 2008 season and then turned pro.

Her first win came in 2011 when she won the Kia Classic at Industry Hill Golf Club. Since then she’s had some great finishes and played in two Solheim Cup teams.

Gal peaked in the world golf rankings in 2012 when she reached being 33rd in the world. After a good start to the season in 2017 in Australia I’m sure she’ll climb higher.

Gal has played on two European Solheim Cup teams including the victorious 2011 team at Killeen Castle in Ireland as a rookie and the 2015 team at St. Leon-Rot in Germany.

Europe and the USA both had 8 points going into the final day but the European team came out on top winning 7 of singles matches.

Gal has played in 7 matches with a great record in foursomes having played 2 won 2, in singles played 2 lost 2 and in fourballs halved 2, lost one.

Kia Classic:

Sandra Gal - Kia Classic 2011In 2011 Gal notched up her first win on the LPGA Tour at the Kia Classic after shooting -16 and winning by one shot.

This win elevated Sandra to finish 41st in the World Golf Rankings.
