English women’s champion Bronte Law beat her fellow international, Hayley Davis, by two shots to clinch her third title on the US women’s college circuit.

Both players finished below par as they set up the England one-two at the Northrup Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes in California.

Bronte, of Bramhall, was five-under after rounds of 68, 69 and level par 71. She birdied two of her last five holes to make certain of the title.

The 19-year-old Curtis Cup player is a second year student at UCLA and the victory was her second of the season and third overall.

Hayley Davis, 22, of Ferndown, was three-under with rounds of 69, 68 and 73. A 17th hole birdie in the final round gave her second place on her own.

Hayley is the English stroke play champion and a student at Baylor University. She has won twice on the US college circuit and both players are members of the England Golf Women’s Squad.
