LET THE ARMS HANG FREELY
Throughout your stroke you want to see a triangle between your arms – a simple clothes hanger will help you maintain this. To get into a good position, when you bend from the hips let your arms hang down naturally with our palms together. I personally like to keep the elbows near my body.

THE SHOULDERS WORK THE STROKE
In the follow through the shapes and the space between my elbows have been maintained. The wrists haven’t broken down and the level of my head has stayed the same. Neither hand has taken over or is more prominent – it is more a case of the shoulders rocking nicely. It is easy to move the head up and back, even if the eyes are still on the ball. It is important to keep your head still so as not to break the triangle.
