I only got back from France a couple of days ago so I’ve just been doing all my washing and spending time with my dog Rory and my family. I have three weeks off now and it’s nice to spend some time at home.

I always miss Rory while I’m away but I think he’s been a bit naughty and up to his usual tricks while I’ve been gone. I think he knows I’m back for a while now though so he’s not really playing up as much!

I’ve been enjoying my mum’s cooking since being back and I had one of her roasts on Tuesday evening, it doesn’t matter to me that it’s not a Sunday! That was my first one in about 3 months but it was well worth the wait.

After Germany I had a week off before I went to Spain to play in the Andalucia Cost Del Sol Open. I played really well and managed to finish 3rd and get four good rounds in. So I really pleased with that!

My mum and dad both came out with me which was really nice as my mum doesn’t get to watch me play that often. It was a bit like a holiday for us and I stayed on for an extra day afterwards so I could go and see Marbella and have a look around. It was lovely and good weather for it as well!

After Spain I had four days at home before I was back on a plane to go to France for the Lacoste Ladies Open.

My Dad came to France with me and again I played pretty well and finished 4th. I had a really good last round and got 6 under. It was lovely weather again but now I’ve come back here and it’s freezing!

We had a dinner in a massive castle before the tournament began and I just had to take a photo. It was such an amazing venue. My friend Klara is in the photo with me who’s a player from the Czech Republic.

So now I’m just going to use my time off to work on my fitness and practice as much as I can.

I’m going to try and start running properly. I hate running but I know I’ve got to do it! The last time I tried to go running outside I ran for about 30 seconds and then fell straight over! There were people around and my leg started bleeding, so hopefully this time will be more successful!

I’ve also been using my free time to catch up The Hunted. I love that TV show and I think I might apply one day because it looks really good fun.

My next event is the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Open in Abu Dhabi, I’ve only played there once before when I was 12. I’m really looking forward to it as I think the weather will be great and the course is really well known.

Winter won’t be too quiet for me as I still have four tournaments left, but I like keeping busy so I don’t mind that. Other people might think it’s nice not doing anything but I just get bored, I want to be out and about.

Overall this month went pretty smoothly and we had no dramas! My caddy Rio is fine now after she was ill in Germany.

I loved watching the Ryder Cup but it was such a shame that we lost! I think some of the pairings weren’t right but the rookies like Thomas Pieters and Rafa Cabrera Bello were amazing and they should have played a bit more. They were definitely the stars of the show for our team!
