Sun, sea, sand and golf. if that’s what you want from a resort, you’ll find it all at Lumine. And that doesn’t mean simply splashing out of bunkers.

Only an hour’s drive from Barcelona’s El Prat Airport, Lumine Mediterrana Beach and Golf Community is a retreat on the Costa Daurada.

Scenery

You’ll find no big crowds here. No tall buildings. No disruptions. Peace and quiet on the seashore is guaranteed. You also won’t have to reach for a jacket too often at this Catalan getaway.

With the beaches of La Pineda within walking distance and the ancient Roman outpost of Tarragona only a short drive away. There’s plenty to occupy when you aren’t sampling the delights of three very different golf courses.

Each provides a new challenge.

Lumine courses

LumineThere is the nine hole Ruins, set amid the beautiful olive and carob trees, where you aim to hit fairways surrounded by the remnants of 2,000-year-old buildings.

Compare that with the Lakes. Found in the wetlands where wildlife abounds at every stage and the course is characterised by wide fairways and even larger water hazards.

Few sights can be impressive than at the Hills. With greens cut into the faces of quarries following a walk that meanders through the pine groves. It makes for a spectacular picture.

Away from the course

LumineThere are many ways to relax away from golf and once you’ve departed the final green, the Lumine Beach Club can be the ideal place to unwind.

The infinity designs turn the edges of the swimming pools into a horizon which merges into the sea. Choose between a sand or sea water pool, and even one under the pines.

Enjoy exquisite Mediterranean cuisine in the restaurant and you’ll discover that everything you need for an enjoyable break is on site.

Tarragona

TarragonaNot too far away though lies Tarragona with its medieval cathedral and ancient Roman ruins.

You’ll stroll around, and under the Circus where chariot racing thrilled the masses and can experience the atmosphere of the amphitheatre. Famous fir being the venue where the first Christians were martyred.

Thrills and spills are also what to expect from a visit to nearby PortAventura World. You can heat the screams, and see the rollercoasters flashing around the horizon from the Lumine courses.

There are six worlds to explore and FerrariLand will screech into view this year and bring further kudos to this massive theme park, which is one of Europe’s best.

So if tranquillity, culture and great golf matter to you, Lumine is your ideal Spanish destination.
