WE have all been faced with a shot that requires us to hit the ball a long distance from a lie that is not quite good enough to use a long iron. This shot in particular is much easier to hit using a hybrid. The way a hybrid is designed – with the centre of gravity lower and deeper in the head – helps us get as much mass as possible under the ball, and get some elevation out of these tough lies.
