After a fantastic amateur career Stacey turned pro in 2010. The Australian has become a 2 time winner on the Ladies European Tour and 7 time winner on ALPG Tour.

We caught up with her at the Ricoh Women’s British Open at Woburn for this interview and our One on One video:

How do you cope with jet lag?

It is one thing that’s hard to avoid but I just try to get into the sleep pattern as soon as possible, so I sleep when I should be, either on the plane or at the destination, that’s my intention but it doesn’t always go to plan.

How do you pass long flights?

A few movies and I am a pretty good sleeper on planes, so the flight back to Australia isn’t too bad for me.

Best country you’ve been to?

I love Scotland when the weather is nice, which is about twice a year!

St Andrews - Old CourseFavourite course?

St Andrews

Best winter golf destination?

Maybe New Zealand

It’s got to be warm, so Sydney in the summer

Best food?

Italy

Bondi BeachBeaches?

Miss most about home?

Probably the weather and my family.

Best thing about travelling?

Being able to see so many amazing places and I’m fortunate to travel with my fiancé, so I’m very lucky to play golf and travel and see the world. It’s great.

If you could sit next to anyone on a flight who would it be?

Arnold Palmer

Karrie Webb of Australia hits her third shot on the 1st hole Who inspires your golfing?

Karrie Webb or Annika Sorenstam have always been my favourites.

Is it hard to keep relationships going on tour?

I’m very lucky that my fiancé is with me but I can definitely see how it could be difficult.

Who are your best friends on tour?

We always travel with a few South African and Spanish girls, I tend to hang out with them a lot.

Is it cliquey on tour?

Not really, probably not as much as people think. I don’t think it is in Europe at all actually.

If you weren’t a golfer what would you do?

I always used to think I would be the next Steffi Graf, because I used to be good at tennis. Used to be but I’m not any more!

Adam Scott What do you do with your free time?

When I’m at home I love going to Australian sporting events and hanging out at home. If I have a break from playing I make sure I go to the footy, as in AFL football not your football and I try to see as much of family and friends as I can at home because it doesn’t happen that often so I make sure I make the most of it.

Best looking man in golf?

Adam Scott
