Nike Golf has today introduced the women’s Nike Lunar Control, this launch comes after the success of the men’s line of the Nike Lunar golf range.

Not only is this the first women’s shoe in the Lunarlon collection but also the first women’s golf shoe that will be available for player customisation via the brand NIKEiD website.

Via the NIKEiD site players are given the ability to create a completely unique pair of golf shoes.

U.S. Women’s Open champion Michelle Wie will design her own shoes and wear several different custom colourways on tour this season.

“I love to design shoes on NIKEiD and have been doing it for a long time,” Wie said.

She continued: “I’m excited to be able to design my golf shoes now and showcase my creativity on the course.”

Wie will debut the shoe next week on the LPGA, Coates Golf Championship in Ocala, Florida.

The women’s Nike Lunar Control provides all-day comfort and support to help Wie and other athletes stay in control of their game through an entire round of golf.

The outsole boasts seven spikes and secondary traction elements to help players stay connected to the ground. The shoe has a carbon fibre midfoot shank for more stable control through your swing.
I love to design shoes on NIKEiD and have been doing it for a long time Nike Flywire cables wrap the foot for adaptive lateral support and smooth weight transfer through impact.

For lighter, more responsive cushioning, designers incorporated a lightweight full-length Nike Lunarlon foam in the midsole to ensure athletes stay comfortable through 18 holes.

The shoe’s upper is made from a microfibre synthetic material to provide durability, water resistance and out-of-the-box comfort.

The women’s Nike Lunar Control is available now for complete customisation on NIKEiD as well as on nike.com and at select retailers in three colourways.

Colours available: white/blue lagoon, white/volt and pure platinum/pink
