Best & Worst: Rising English star Georgia Hall
Georgia Hall reveals to Lady Golfer her favourite things about being on Tour and the what she believes is the worst rule in golf.
Best thing about being a professional golfer?
Playing and competing in tournaments and getting in contention to win.
And the worst?
Travelling.
Best shot in your game?
The driver.
And the worst?
Holing 15-footers.
Best shot you’ve played under pressure?
Hitting the fairway down the last hole to win the Oates Vic Open. (Georgia won by a shot)
And the worst?
Missing a three-footer at any time!
Best type of playing partner?
Someone I get on with, can have a laugh with and hits it close.
Worst?
Someone who talks too much and is very nervous.
Best tournament on Tour that’s not a Major and why?
I like the ISPS Handa Ladies European Masters when it was at The Bucks because it was one of my favourite
courses and was close to home.
Also the end-of-season tournament in Dubai because the players get treated so well and the weather is great.
Worst hair?
I have had some pretty horrific hair days in the wind and rain, so I’m probably the leader for that one!
Best person for a night out?
Beth Allen by far.
Best jokes?
Anne Van Dam, she is all sorts of crazy.
Worst jokes?
No one has really said a bad joke.
Best dress sense?
Nicole Broch Larsen, she always looks smart on the golf course.
Worst rule in golf ?
When you have to take a drop in a bunker because of casual water. Ninety nine per cent of the time it is going to plug, you should be able to place.
Best feeling you’ve had on a golf course?
Winning or getting a hole-in-one.
Worst feeling?
Missing the cut by one shot.
