Talking points of the week

Sei Young Kim was an unstoppable force at the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic, where she didn’t just break just one record, but three.

She finished with an astonishing score of 31-under par.

This shattered the 72-hole scoring record which was previously held by herself and Annika Sorenstam, who scored -27 back in 2001.

She also made history by achieving the greatest four-round stretch in the history of the LPGA. With rounds of 63, 65, 64 and 65.

If that wasn’t enough, she also scored the most birdies in 72 holes on the LPGA Tour. She missed only five greens in four rounds, and the only blemish on her score card was one double bogey.

Meanwhile, Sweden’s Anna Nordqvist tied for third place with Emma Talley and Amy Yang.

She finished 20-under par after scoring an incredible 67 in all four rounds.

England’s Bronte Law finished in 6th place and scored 18-under par, while fellow British star Georgia Hall finished with 17-under.
