Welcome back down to the Shack, and a brand new feature to get stuck into. The ‘Shack Shootout’.
The format is simple, each guest has 9 shots, at 3 different targets; 99, 147 & 180 yards. Their score is calculated by the dispersion of each shot and added to the overall target score to give a total out of 100.

99 Yards- Choice of club; 54 degree
I’ve got a 54, it’s a bit in between and with the cold I can’t get my lob wedge there. So I’ve got my 54 degree to try and cut it in there a little bit.
Overall score after 3 shots- 87.6
147 Yards– Choice of club; 8 iron.
In the warmth I can carry an 8 iron about 160, in the cld about 155. My 9 iron carries about 142 so I’ll just cut up a little 8 iron for this shot.
Overall score after 3 shots- 79
180 Yards- Choice of club; 6 iron
A pretty bog standard, nice solid 6 iron. Should be a good number for me.
