Best & Worst: Cheyenne Woods
What’s the best part of being a professional golfer?
Getting to travel.
You get to visit so many places around the world that a lot of people never get to see. So that’s my favourite part, travelling and trying all the food from places around the world.
And the worst?
You’re always away from home and living out of a suitcase.
Best shot in your game?
Somewhere around 100 to 110 yards – that’s a pitching wedge for me – I love the small compact swing. You can really be aggressive with it.
And the worst shot?
I don’t have a worst shot.
Best type of playing partner?
On the LPGA Tour I like playing with Natalie Gulbis. She’s always fun.
As for the Ladies European Tour, I enjoy playing with Joanna Klatten – she plays LPGA and LET. I met her on the European Tour and she’s always fun.
Worst playing partner?
Someone slow. I hate slow golf.
Best hair on tour?
A lot of the men don’t have hair. But on the ladies’ tour Paula Creamer has really pretty hair.
Worst hair on tour?
I don’t know, that’s a tough one.
Best person on a night out?
Jaye Marie Green. She’s really fun. And Sedena Parks. We have so much fun together.
Worst person on a night out?
Someone with an early bed-time.
Best jokes?
Tiffany Joh – she’s very funny.
Worst jokes?
I don’t know any serious people – everyone has a good personality.
Best dress sense?
I think Natalie Gulbis dresses really cute all the time.
Worst dress sense?
Probably John Daly.
Best career performance?
When I went to LPGA Qualifying School. I finished in 12th place, but the mental grind of the week is very difficult, so I definitely think that was my best performance so far.
Worst career performance?
The first tournament I ever played in. I was nine years old and I came in last place.
I shot 94 through nine holes.
