Second Hand Shorts 12: Getting turn on your backswing
It’s time for another episode of ‘Second Hand Shorts’. You can watch some of the other episodes of the series below:
Second Hand Shorts
Today’s short is all about getting a good turn on the driver backswing. The Pro is on hand to explain all..
What we see in modern day golfers and athletes is that they turn with a lot of resistance in the lower body, and as they make the swing their hips don’t make as much movement as they used too with their feet being more flexible.
We are amateur golfers though, and we don’t get to play as much as we would like. So we need to help ourlseves turn more in the swing.
One of the greatest golfers of all time was Jack Nicklaus and he used to lift his left heel up. This movement allowed him to turn his shoulders and hips and really get to the top of his backswing which gave him the power he needed.
